Samaya began with a simple goal: to be authentic in a market where nearly every scarf or shawl is mislabeled as cashmere. We wanted to stand apart as a trusted source—where customers could be confident that what they’re buying, whether cashmere, wool, silk, or any other breathable fabric, is genuine and true to its origin.
Samaya began in the small town of Kirtipur, Nepal, where our designs and knit patterns first came to life. Rooted in tradition and craftsmanship, we support our local community—primarily the women of Kirtipur—through fair-trade practices that honor their skill, preserve heritage, and empower livelihoods.
